Lace gloves, deadlines, and aching muscles

I have until Tuesday evening to finish this pair of gloves, but it ain’t happenin’. I just finished the arm section of the first glove last night, after knitting for about 12 hours spread over 14 hours. My back and left hand are aching from a) sitting in one place for so long and b) grasping the work too hard. I know [knock wood] that I can finish the first glove today, and perhaps start on the wide lace section, but no way I’ll be ready for the Charlotte Knitting Guild meeting on April 1!

I’ll try to get a snapshot of the progress so far, but Myr has the camera with her in Atlanta, so that will be delayed a little!

I grew up in New England, moved to the Carolinas in '98 to start working at what was then a large regional bank and is now a really big nationwide bank. I work doing intranet content management and intranet site management. After work, I practice Aikido, knit, ride my motorcycle, read, watch movies & eat. I've been studying Aikido since 2014, and I ride an old Honda Shadow. Someday I want to go skydiving, and I am pretty sure that I want to hike the Appalachian Trail someday.
