My Giant Scarf Has a Hole in It

I took the “giant garter stitch scarf” off the needles last night, only to find that I dropped a stitch about 8 rows back. I am not looking forward to un-knitting it to there… I wonder if I can just rip it back…

I grew up in New England, moved to the Carolinas in '98 to start working at what was then a large regional bank and is now a really big nationwide bank. I work doing intranet content management and intranet site management. After work, I practice Aikido, knit, ride my motorcycle, read, watch movies & eat. I've been studying Aikido since 2014, and I ride a Yamaha V-Star 1300. I am pretty sure that I want to hike the Appalachian Trail someday.

  1. Turns out, this isn’t a dropped stitch, it is a hole where I messed up the tension when changing to a new ball of yarn. When we rip it, we’re going to take photos so that I can document the fix. Otherwise, it would be done by now.

Lesson learned: when switching to a new ball, take the time to go back and join at the start of a row!
